What did I learn from Asia Internet Congress?

I attended the Asia Internet Congress from 29 to 30 November at the Singapore Expo. It was actually a 3 days event meant for internet marketing newbies but I attended the 2 days instead as I don't really consider myself a newbie. This was my first ever internet marketing seminar and I got to learn so much just from the 2 days. Most of the speakers are well known and successful internet marketer.

The speakers are:

1) Dr. Mike Woo Ming - former doctor in profession, now a full time internet marketer
2) Ewen Chia - The World's Number 1 Super Affiliate
3) Jermaine Griggs - speaker, internet marketer, pastor, owner of the Hear and Play site
4) Sean Roach - professional speaker and business owner
5) Donna Fox - former lawyer turned internet marketer
6) Nathan Anderson - the Guru of SEO, who teaches marketers how to optimize their web pages for high search enginer ranking
7) Joel Christopher - The master of List Building formerly a therapist
8) Simon Leung - former google employee and adwords optimisation expert

Each speaker delivered inspiring, motivational presentation that will make you feel that you have been really missing something in your life - financial freedom!

The presentation by Sean Roach really wow me because I have never seen such a great speaker. His presentation resulted in almost half of the audience buying his product. And his product is not cheap at $2000! I think he is a natural born salesman. I did not buy his product because I think it is full of hype.

He shows how one of his beta tester made $15,000 in adsense earnings by using his web 3.0 product! He even gave money to people! What?

So what did I learn from Sean Roach? You have to take action now to make things happen. Get off your "duff" now and make things happen.

Another speaker which inspired me was Joel Christopher. He is from the philippines and was a successful therapist before becoming an internet marketer. He is a master list builder meaning he holds the list that are mostly buyers. He also talked about using adwords to drive traffic to your website and showed some neat tools to automate the creation of attention grabbing ads.

So what did I learn from Joel Christopher?

Why building a list is important to your business. Because the only way to grow your business is to have many customers or repeat customers. If you can build a good relationship with your customers they will buy from you.

Use video to increase your opt in rate. Put appealing image to attract visitors to stay on your site. You have to capture their attention the moment they enter your site. Give them something free for opting in like ebook, newsletter etc.

Jermaine Griggs is another great speaker. He made his millions by doing something he likes - teaching people how to play the piano just by hearing. This guy is really talented to say that he can play a music or song on the piano just by hearing it.

So what did I learn from Jermaine Griggs?
Building relationship with your list member. His email marketing is targetted to his customer. When you opt in to his list, you have to fill up a form so that the first email you received will be very personalised. He has a tool that can deliver audio email message too - very cool indeed.

Well, I can go on and talk about all the speakers and what I have learnt but the important thing here is to take action and make things happen. I am glad that I take the first step towards internet marketing which is the road to finanical freedom for me.
